Ceva Logistics appoints Yves Laforgue as North America coordinator to align operations with CMA CGM’s vision and boost profit margins. CMA CGM plans to invest $20 billion in U.S. shipping and supply chain capabilities over four years. Ceva is now the fifth largest global logistics service provider by revenue, focusing on growth, modernization, and efficiency.
Laforgue, also CEO for Ceva Logistics Air & Ocean North America, will streamline regional operations and represent the company globally. CEO Friedberg aims to enhance efficiency, agility, and customer responsiveness. Despite operational challenges, Ceva is repositioning its North American structure to drive growth and improve governance.
Former Bolloré Logistics executive, Laforgue brings 30 years of experience to Ceva, which has been integrating Bolloré under its brand for the past 18 months. Bolloré, a significant player in air and ocean freight management, operated in 148 countries and employed 15,000 people. Alison Jahn, head of marketing, declined to comment on organizational changes.
