Citigroup has hired two senior executives from JPMorgan to strengthen its leadership team and expand its financing business. Aloke Gupte and Alex Watkins will join as global co-head of ECM and head of technology financing, respectively. This move is part of Citi’s strategy to grow its investment banking division.
JPMorgan has also made key hires, bringing on Anthony Diamandakis as vice chair of its strategic investors group and Kamal Jabre as vice chair of mergers & acquisitions for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Both banks are bolstering their teams with top talent to enhance their services and capabilities. Bloomberg first reported the news.
