Daimler Truck Q2 sales volume down, North America weak, stable Mercedes-Benz sales
Daimler Truck Holding AG reported a 5% decrease in unit sales in the second quarter, with a total of 106,715 trucks and buses sold. Sales in the Trucks North America segment dropped by 20% to 38,580 units, while Mercedes-Benz Trucks saw stable sales at 38,294 units. However, Trucks Asia saw a 13% increase in sales to 26,443 units. The sale of battery-electric vehicles surged by 90% to 1,232 units. Daimler Truck sold a total of 206,527 vehicles in the first half of the year. Plans are in place to integrate businesses in China and India into the Mercedes-Benz Trucks segment by 2025. Daimler Truck will release its second-quarter financial results on August 1. Trading of Daimler Truck shares on XETRA in Germany saw an increase of 0.45% to 40.55 euros.
