Digital asset investor Dan Tapiero is merging private equity firms 10T Holdings and 1RoundTable Partners to create a new brand, 50T, projecting the digital asset ecosystem to reach $50 trillion within the next decade.

Tapiero’s original thesis in 2020 predicted the ecosystem growing from $300 billion to $10 trillion in 10 years, but with current estimates at $5 trillion, the outlook is being adjusted upward. Recent successes like Circle’s IPO and Coinbase’s acquisition of Deribit validate the investment thesis.

Circle, the USDC stablecoin issuer, saw a ten-fold surge in its stock market debut, while Coinbase acquired Deribit for $2.9 billion in May. Funds under 50T were investors in Circle, Deribit, and Etoro, with other portfolio companies also moving towards going public.

50T is launching a $500 million growth equity fund called 50T Fund, a closed-end fund with a ten-year horizon to support later-stage companies in blockchain and web3 infrastructure. The first close is planned for Q4 2025.
