Elon Musk's America Party will accept Bitcoin, challenging the current political system
Elon Musk’s new political party, the America Party, will accept Bitcoin, as confirmed by the Tesla CEO himself. Tesla, under Musk’s leadership, holds 11,509 BTC worth around $1.26 billion, making it one of the largest publicly traded companies holding Bitcoin. Musk has supported Dogecoin, causing price fluctuations with his tweets.
Musk’s feud with Donald Trump has escalated over Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill,” which Musk criticized as detrimental to the US. Musk questioned Trump’s rationale for creating the DOGE initiative to reduce national debt while adding trillions to the national debt. Musk later hinted at the need for a new political party that genuinely cares about the people.
In response to Musk’s announcement of creating the America Party, Trump criticized Musk, warning that the new party could fracture the Republican vote in the 2026 US midterm elections. Musk’s poll received over 1.24 million votes, with two-thirds in favor of the new party. Musk aims to challenge the current political system he views as wasteful and corrupt.
