First Majestic Silver Corp. (NYSE: AG) saw a 4.95% increase on Monday, closing at $8.69 as investors took advantage of the rising prices of gold and silver. Silver spot prices increased by 1.97% to $38.93 per troy ounce, while gold spot prices rose by 1.42% to $3,397.58. The company produced 3.7 million ounces of silver in the second quarter, a 76% increase from last year.

The company’s silver equivalent production reached 7.9 million ounces, up 48% from the previous year. Earnings impact of this production will be announced on August 14.
