The acquisition will enhance GE Vernova’s GridOS Visual Intelligence system, allowing utilities to better assess damage and inspect assets along electrical lines. The financial terms were not disclosed, with the deal set to close on August 1. GE Vernova’s electrification software segment is expected to see significant growth, driven by surging power demand from data centers for AI and cryptocurrency technologies. The company is gearing up to release its second-quarter earnings report on July 23.
