Google will invest $6 billion in a 1-gigawatt data center in Andhra Pradesh, India, with $2 billion allocated to renewable energy. This center will be the largest in Asia, part of Alphabet’s multi-billion-dollar expansion. Alphabet remains committed to spending $75 billion on data centers despite economic uncertainty. Andhra Pradesh aims to attract investments to ease financial strains and plans to build 6 GW of data centers over the next five years, with initial 1.6 GW operational in the next 24 months. The state is also working on three cable landing stations in Visakhapatnam to enhance connectivity.
