Grammarly announced the acquisition of Superhuman to enhance its AI productivity platform. Superhuman, founded by Vohra, Sodera, and Irwin, raised $114 million, with a valuation of $825 million. CEO Mehrotra expressed excitement about integrating Superhuman’s features into Grammarly.

CEO Vohra and Superhuman employees will join Grammarly with the acquisition. Vohra highlighted the significance of email as a communication tool and the potential for AI agents to collaborate across communication platforms.

Superhuman recently launched AI-powered features for scheduling, replies, and categorization. Grammarly aims to develop AI agents for emails using Superhuman’s technology, emphasizing email as a top use case for its platform.

Last year, Grammarly acquired Coda and promoted co-founder Mehrotra to CEO. In May, the company secured $1 billion in non-dilutive funding from General Catalyst. This investment will be repaid based on a capped percentage of revenue generated using the funding.
