Strong growth in leasing new business for Grenke in Q2 2025, led by IT equipment; positive.
German leasing company Grenke reported a 9.8% YoY increase in leasing new business in Q2 2025, totaling €867.4m. Contribution margin 2 rose by 13.5% YoY to €148.6m, exceeding the 2025 target of 16.5%. IT equipment was the largest lease category, with a 26.3% share. Southern Europe showed the strongest growth.
Italy led in Southern Europe with a 14.4% share. Western Europe (excluding DACH) saw a 9.3% increase, with France contributing 19%. The DACH region had a 14.6% increase, led by Germany. Northern/Eastern Europe had a slight decline, while other regions, including the US, saw a 25.6% growth to €61m.
Grenke CEO Sebastian Hirsch highlighted the strategic strength of diversification. Deposit business reached €2.36bn, and lending new business amounted to €10.4m by June 30, 2025. Germany and France are now the main pillars of strong new business growth for Grenke.
