Intuitive Surgical’s da Vinci 5 system received the CE-mark for its latest surgical robot system, with over 32,000 U.S. procedures already performed. The system includes Force Feedback technology, ergonomic surgeon console, and improved 3D vision. The European market for surgical robots is projected to reach $3.31 billion by 2030. ISRG’s da Vinci 5 showed strong adoption in the U.S. with 147 units placed in Q1. However, supply limits and budget caps may slow down the rollout. ISRG is trading at a higher valuation compared to the industry but remains a long-term buy with strategic focus on training, utilization, and operational efficiency.
