Japan Airlines Co., Ltd. reported a significant increase in profit in the first quarter, with profit attributable to owners of parent rising to 27.08 billion yen from 13.98 billion yen last year. Earnings per share also saw a boost to 60.04 yen from 32 yen. Operating profit surged to 43.317 billion yen, and revenue increased to 471.08 billion yen. The company maintained its full-year financial forecasts. Japan Airlines closed trading 0.12% higher at 2,928 yen on the Tokyo exchange.
