Krystals packaging company goes into administration, resulting in loss of jobs
Packaging manufacturer Krystals has gone into administration, leading to the loss of around 80 jobs. The company, with locations in Lincoln and Ellesmere Port, was acquired in 2008. Krystals specialized in blow molding for pharmaceutical containers and served the corrugated packaging sector, offering a variety of products.
Administrators Gareth Harris and Chris Ratten of RSM UK Restructuring Advisory were appointed for A, R & S Shingdia, trading as Krystals. The company operated under various trading names and recently sold plant machinery from the Lincoln site. The Ellesmere Port site is still up for sale, with interested parties encouraged to inquire.
All employees, totaling approximately 80, were made redundant when operations ceased on May 23, 2025. No existing contracts were in place at the time. The company’s administration was confirmed by RSM UK, who are still exploring options for the Ellesmere Port site.
