Lazard hires BofA banker to lead West Coast coverage for financial sponsors division.

Lazard has hired Bank of America’s Bill Hart to lead their financial sponsors division’s West Coast coverage. Hart, with over a decade of experience, will oversee large and mid-cap sponsors starting this fall. The move aligns with Lazard’s goal to increase activity with buyout firms and alternative asset managers. CEO Peter Orszag warned of economic uncertainty impacting dealmaking. In recent years, Lazard has also hired Adam Cady and Courtney Haydon for North America coverage, as well as Ali Syed to cover sovereign wealth and pension funds.
