The U.S. manufacturing industry continues to struggle under tariffs, with the PMI coming in at 49 in June, slightly higher than May’s 48.5. Economists expected 49.1, so it was close to predictions. A reading above 50 signals growth, but this is the fourth consecutive month below that level, after a positive January reading.
