Despite more than two thirds of S&P 500 members falling, Microsoft and Meta Platforms are keeping the index afloat. The market benchmark is down 0.1%, with the Nasdaq Composite up 0.1% and the Dow down 161 points. Microsoft shares are up 4% and Meta surged 12%, boosting S&P and Nasdaq towards record highs. Apple and Amazon.com are set to report results after the close.
