MGM Resorts International reported a rise in second-quarter revenue, driven by strong performance in online sports-betting operations and its China unit. Revenue from its China unit grew 9% to $1.11 billion, while regional operations revenue rose 4% to $964.6 million. The digital unit saw a 14% revenue increase to $163.9 million. Online gambling demand has surged in recent years, benefiting companies like MGM Resorts and Caesars Entertainment. Despite strong performance, MGM Digital’s adjusted operating loss widened, impacting overall earnings. MGM Resorts’ adjusted per-share profit for the quarter was 79 cents, down from 86 cents a year earlier. Total revenue rose 1.8% to $4.40 billion.
