Monument Mining Launches Expansion Drilling Program at Selinsing Gold Mine, Targeting New Mineral Resources

Monument Mining Limited has announced the start of an expansion drilling program at the Selinsing Gold Mine in Malaysia. The program aims to explore new mineralized zones outside current production pits to extend the mine’s life. A $2.5 million investment will fund the program, expected to conclude by March 2026. The mine’s total resources include 836,000 ounces of gold, supporting a five-year mine life. Resources outside current pit constructions, such as at Selinsing and Buffalo Reef zones, will need additional land acquisition to convert into reserves. A detailed drilling program will be announced upon completion.

The expansion drilling program aims to discover new mineral resources through intensive exploration drilling and convert them into reserves. The $2.5 million investment will fund the program, which is expected to conclude by March 2026.

Buffalo Reef remains open at depth, with potential for expansion in central and southern areas. Gaps between existing pits indicate potential for shallow mineralization, supporting plans for pit expansion. The Selinsing Gold Mine also shows potential for expansion, with a thick mineralized zone in the southernmost area remaining open at depth and along northeast-southwest structural trends.

Monument’s in-house drilling team, supported by two drill rigs, will conduct reverse circulation and diamond drilling to test new mineralized zones. Samples will be analyzed in accredited labs to ensure accurate results. Detailed geological and structural measurements will support mine optimization and future development planning.
