Private-Equity Firm Anacacia Capital Acquires Majority of Australian Dairy Supplier Procal, Sparking Excitement for Growth
Private-equity firm Anacacia Capital has acquired a majority stake in Australian dairy supplier Procal, known as a leading independent dairy processor. Procal, founded in 2003 and based in Melbourne, offers a range of dairy products under its brand, as well as fruit juices under other brands, serving retail, foodservice, and manufacturing sectors.
The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Anacacia Capital described the investment as a way to help retired founders sell a majority stake and partner with the next generation to grow the business. Investment director Ranitha Mapatuna praised Procal’s entrepreneurial drive and brand strength, expressing excitement about supporting the company’s growth in Australia.
Procal CEO Laney Quinn expressed enthusiasm about partnering with Anacacia, citing their experience with family businesses and a decade-long relationship as key factors. Quinn highlighted plans to strengthen operations, expand capacity, and continue delivering value to customers, suppliers, and staff. The acquisition marks a new chapter for Procal’s family legacy and business growth.
