Defense attorneys representing Tornado Cash co-founder Roman Storm will rest their case next week, moving the trial to the jury. Judge Katherine Failla expects closing statements on Tuesday or Wednesday. Storm may or may not take the stand in his defense. The trial has entered its 10th day, with testimony from an FBI agent.

Community support for Storm remains strong, with Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin and others contributing to his legal fund of over $2.8 million. Buterin stated, “In Ethereum we protect our own.” Privacy rights and open-source software have been central themes in the case. Storm claimed that Gusto deactivated his account due to his criminal charges.
