Russian alcohol company Novabev Group was targeted by a cyberattack on July 14, causing a temporary disruption in its IT infrastructure. The hackers demanded a ransom, but Novabev refused to engage with them. The company is working with IT experts to resolve the issue and resume operations soon. Customer data remains secure.

Novabev Group, known for Beluga and Belenkaya vodka brands, reported a 16% increase in net revenue in 2024, reaching Rbs135.46bn ($1.72bn). However, operating profit fell by 11% to Rbs12.35bn due to rising costs. Despite the cyberattack, the company is focused on maintaining its position as a leader in spirits production in Russia.

WineLab, Novabev’s retail arm with over 2,100 outlets, was impacted by the cyberattack. The company assures that customer data is safe and continues to investigate the incident. Novabev remains a key player in the Russian alcohol market, importing popular brands like Barceló rum and Torres brandy.
