Spot Bitcoin ETFs saw a net outflow of $131.35 million, ending a 12-day streak of $6.6 billion in inflows. ARK Invest’s ARKB lost $77.46 million, Grayscale’s GBTC shed $36.75 million, and Fidelity’s FBTC dropped $12.75 million. Bitwise’s BITB and VanEck’s HODL also experienced outflows, while BlackRock’s IBIT had no changes.
Investors took profits near all-time highs, resulting in the outflows. Vincent Liu, chief investment officer at Kronos Research, stated that the outflows were due to profit-taking and institutional rebalancing, not fear among large holders. Record-setting inflows in July preceded the recent outflows, indicating a pause after a strong upward run.
Spot Ether ETFs continued their streak with a $296.59 million net inflow on Monday, bringing the cumulative total to $7.78 billion. The streak has lasted 12 days, with record-breaking daily inflows of $726.74 million and $602.02 million. Investor interest in Ethereum products remains high.
