The S&P 500 fell 0.3% on Tuesday, with the Dow dropping 0.5% and the Nasdaq down 0.2%. Magnificent Seven stocks, including Alphabet, were leading earlier but now only Alphabet is rising. Meta Platforms saw the biggest drop at 1.3%, followed by Apple at 0.9%. Tesla, Amazon.com, Nvidia, and Microsoft were all down as well, with losses ranging from 0.1% to 0.5%. The major indexes lost steam throughout the day after initially trading higher in the morning.
