The Nasdaq Composite dropped 0.8% while the S&P 500 was down 0.2%, with 382 stocks on track to close higher. The Dow, with less tech exposure, rose 0.2% or about 100 points. Tech stocks like Palantir Technologies, Advanced Micro Devices, and Nvidia were being sold shortly after opening.
