Dow Plummets 540 Points as Trade Policy Concerns Resurface
Stocks struggled on Monday as trade policy concerns resurfaced, causing the Dow to drop 540 points, or 1.2%. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq also fell by 1%. Last week, both indexes hit record levels before the Fourth of July holiday. President Trump’s letters to Japan and South Korea detailing new tariffs added to market uncertainty.
