Trump Media and Technology Group (TMTG), majority-owned by US President Donald Trump’s family, files for two AI trademarks for Truth Social platform, aiming to provide reliable information and non-woke news. TMTG’s shares surged 5.5% on Wednesday, outperforming Nasdaq. The company reported a net loss of $31.7 million for Q1 2025 with revenue of $8.8 million.
TMTG previously filed trademarks for cryptocurrency trading, payment service, and ETFs, as well as for a Trump-branded metaverse. Truth Social reportedly has 6.3 million users, a small base compared to Facebook’s 3.1 billion monthly active users in 2023.
