In trading on Tuesday, metals & mining shares were up by about 1.7%, with MP Materials and Critical Metals leading the group with gains of about 24.3% and 23.8% respectively. Semiconductors shares also showed strength, up by about 1%, with Navitas Semiconductor and Advanced Micro Devices leading the pack with gains of about 9% and 6.8% on Tuesday.
