UBS and Rand Merchant Bank are the top financial advisers for mergers and acquisitions (M&A) in the Middle East & Africa for the first half of 2025, according to GlobalData. UBS led by value with $1.6bn in deals, while Rand Merchant Bank led by volume with four deals. UBS’s success was attributed to its role in the $1.6bn Warba Bank-Alghanim deal. Rand Merchant Bank also ranked third by value, showing improvement from the previous year. HSBC secured second place by value with $1.3bn in deals, followed closely by Rand Merchant Bank, Barclays, and Clairfield International. KPMG took the second spot by volume with three deals.
