U.S. retailer Costco Wholesale Corp is set to open its first technology center in India, located in Hyderabad. The Global Capability Centre will start with 1,000 employees and expand, focusing on technology and research alongside global teams. India’s GCC market is expected to reach $99 billion-$105 billion by 2030, up from $64.6 billion in fiscal 2024. Companies like JPMorgan Chase, Walmart, and Target already have GCC operations in India. Costco has not yet commented on the news.
