Valero Energy reported a net income of $714m, or $2.28 per share, for Q2 2025, down from $880m in the previous year. The renewable diesel segment faced an operating loss of $79m, while the refining segment saw an increase in operating income to $1.3bn. General and administrative expenses rose to $220m, and net cash from operating activities was $936m. The company returned $695m to stockholders through dividends and share repurchases. Despite challenges, Valero is investing in a $230m FCC Unit optimisation project and plans to operate refineries at near full capacity in Q3.
