VOO attracts $1.6B as S&P 500 hits new record high on trade optimism.

Vanguard S&P 500 ETF (VOO) attracted $1.6 billion, reaching $683.5 billion in assets under management as the S&P 500 hit a record high of 6,227.42 after Trump announced a U.S.-Vietnam trade deal with a 20% tariff on Vietnamese imports. Vanguard Total Stock Market ETF (VTI) and Vanguard Growth ETF (VUG) also saw significant inflows.

On the flip side, Vanguard Short-Term Bond ETF (BSV) saw outflows of nearly $235 million, while Fidelity Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC) lost $172.7 million, and Vanguard Large-Cap ETF (VV) experienced outflows of $106.8 million. U.S. equity ETFs gained $4.3 billion on trade optimism, with U.S. fixed-income ETFs attracting $210.4 million.

In total, ETFs gained $4.7 billion for the day, with U.S. equity ETFs leading the way with $4.3 billion in inflows. International equity ETFs pulled in $426.6 million, while U.S. fixed-income ETFs attracted $210.4 million. Currency ETFs lost $103.1 million, and overall, ETFs gained $4.7 billion for the day.
