Air Canada has suspended its plan to resume limited operations following a directive from the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE). The airline plans to resume flights starting Monday evening after all operations were suspended due to a strike on August 16, 2025. Approximately 240 flights have been cancelled, with 700 flights typically operated daily. Customers with cancelled flights will be notified directly and offered flexible options, including a full refund, travel credit, or rebooking on alternate carriers. Air Canada Express flights continue to operate as normal, while affected passengers are advised to avoid going to the airport without confirmed bookings.
