Alstom opens first signalling competence center in Astana, Kazakhstan to support digital transformation of railway network. The center will focus on developing, integrating signalling solutions, system maintenance, and modernizing legacy assets.
JSC NC KTZ chief engineer praises Alstom for fulfilling commitments and providing necessary support for the new competence center. Alstom aims to recruit and train Kazakhstani engineers in software and system development. The Astana center will also connect with Alstom’s global network to advance rail technologies in Kazakhstan.
Alstom’s Western and Central Asia managing director highlights the importance of the new competence center in improving railway safety and efficiency in Kazakhstan. The center will produce signalling solutions locally and collaborate with international experts, academic institutions, and public stakeholders. Alstom recently signed a €300m deal to modernize Lyon’s Line D metro.
