British supermarket chain Asda reported a 0.2% decline in total revenue, excluding fuel, reaching £5.3bn for Q2 2025. Despite this, sales improved by 0.2% on a like-for-like basis, with Asda seeing its fourth consecutive quarter of LFL sales growth. Asda’s fashion brand George also saw a 2.5% increase in LFL sales. Asda Express outperformed the convenience market with 8.6% LFL sales growth. Asda completed its IT transformation programme, Project Future, separating from Walmart. The company plans to reopen its Express convenience store initiative in Castleford and launch 20 more stores throughout the UK. They also invested £12m in upgrading seven Yorkshire stores.
