Black Cat Syndicate has started underground mining at the Majestic deposit, part of the Kal East Gold Operation, located 45km southeast of Kalgoorlie. The initial production target is 776kt with a gold grade of 3.2g/t, aiming for 80,000oz of gold. Plans include drilling from underground and long-term infrastructure installation.
The company has awarded the underground mine development contract to Macmahon Underground. Majestic and Fingals projects are expected to supply feed to the Lakewood facility. Black Cat Syndicate has expanded its Paulsens gold project tenure through acquisitions, enlarging the Big Sarah prospect and extending holdings to 2,722km².
Managing director Gareth Solly stated that dewatering is complete, portal ground support is installed, and development of the first underground mine at Kal East has begun. Majestic remains open at depth for exploration. The company aims to deliver on its strategy of More Gold, Sooner.
