Chinese state-owned automaker Changan Auto aims to become a top 10 global automaker by the end of the decade. The company, spun off into a new automotive-focused enterprise, is headquartered in Chongqing and consists of 117 subsidiaries. Changan Auto plans to sell 5 million vehicles annually by 2030, with new energy vehicles making up over 60% of sales. In 2025, the company expects to increase sales by 12% to 3 million units and generate revenues of CNY 355 billion. Changan Auto also plans to expand into new markets, including robots, flying cars, and embodied AI.
