Cotton futures rose 41 to 80 points on Thursday, with the US dollar index down $0.392 to $97.735. Crude oil futures also dropped $0.53.

USDA reported 179,333 RB of cotton sold in the latest week, up 70.19% from the previous week and 92.81% higher than last year. Shipments fell to 112,656 RB, the lowest since November.

The Seam saw 290 bales sold at an average price of 60.51 cents/lb. ICE cotton stocks remained steady, with certified stocks at 15,474 bales. USDA’s AWP rose to 55.53 cents/lb.

Cotton prices for Oct 25, Dec 25, and Mar 26 are at 65.82, 67.47, and 69.2 respectively.
