DIC Corporation has opened a new production facility in Jakarta, Indonesia, to meet the demand for sustainable packaging coatings for direct food contact materials. The facility will produce high-performance coatings for paperboard lunch boxes, pizza boxes, and paper cups with water and oil resistance, while maintaining recyclability. The plant aims to produce 1,000 tonnes of coatings annually by fiscal year 2030 for markets in Asian countries, such as China and Oceania.
