The Dow Jones Industrial Average reached a record high after Berkshire Hathaway disclosed a stake in one of its key stocks. The Dow opened at its highest levels, up 156 points or 0.4%, nearing its Dec. 4 intraday record. The S&P 500 was down 0.2%, while the Nasdaq Composite fell 0.5% due to concerns over chip tariffs.
