Enterprise Products Partners is set to acquire a natural gas-gathering affiliate from Occidental in a $580m deal. The acquisition includes 73,000 acres in the Midland Basin with 200 miles of pipelines. A new Athena natural gas processing plant will be built to process 300mcf/d and extract 40,000bpd of NGLs, expanding Enterprise’s capacity in the region. The deal is part of Enterprise’s focus on expanding its Midland Basin franchise and is expected to close in Q3 2025.
