Futu Holdings (FUTU) saw a 6.01% jump in stock price, ending a four-day losing streak. The company reported a stellar second-quarter performance, with net income more than doubling to HK$2.57 billion and revenues growing by 69% to HK$5.3 billion compared to the same period last year.
In the first half, Futu Holdings recorded a significant increase in net income to HK$4.7 billion from HK$2.24 billion and revenues rose by 75% to HK$10 billion from HK$5.7 billion year-on-year. The company attributed this growth to market volatility, high-profile IPOs, and increased retail sentiment in Hong Kong.
Futu Holdings Chairman and CEO Leaf Hua Li highlighted the company’s growth in new funded accounts, particularly in Hong Kong and the US markets. They also became the official sponsor of the New York Mets and launched crypto trading in most states in June, enhancing their brand image and value proposition as a trading platform.
