Japan-based 3D printed housing firm Lib Work Co. buys $3.3 million worth of Bitcoin as a hedge against inflation, becoming 105th on the list of top Bitcoin treasury companies. The company plans to purchase Bitcoin in phases from September to December and establish a risk management system.
Lib Work recently launched an NFT-backed 3D printed housing initiative, storing blueprints on the blockchain and accepting Bitcoin as a payment method. Their first NFT house blueprint, the Lib Earth House Model B, aims to protect intellectual property and provide an ownership certificate linked to the physical home.
3D printing construction methods and asset digitalization could help address labor shortages and soaring material costs in the construction industry. Lib Work believes this technology can reduce labor, time, costs, and create new international housing markets for the metaverse and Web3 era. They aim to build new housing distribution mechanisms for global investors and users.
