McDonald’s revenue rose 5% to $6.8 billion in April-June, surpassing Wall Street forecast. Same-store sales increased nearly 4%, exceeding analysts’ expectations of a 1% decline. Net income rose 11% to $2.25 billion, with earnings per share meeting Wall Street’s forecast. McDonald’s shares rose 2% in morning trading.
