The Nasdaq Composite fell on Wednesday, shedding some top performers like AI stocks. The index was down 0.7%, while the Dow rose slightly and the S&P 500 was down 0.2%. The Dow moved closer to its Dec. 4 closing high of 45,014.04.

The yield on the 2-year Treasury note dropped to 3.74%, while the 10-year yield fell to just under 4.3%.
