September Nymex natural gas closed up on Friday, recovering from a 9-month low as weather forecasts shifted. The EIA raised its forecast for US nat-gas production, currently near a record high. US dry gas production and state gas demand are up, while LNG net flows to US export terminals also increased. Electricity output fell slightly, but nat-gas inventories rose, signaling adequate supplies. The number of active US nat-gas drilling rigs has decreased slightly.
