FedEx Supply Chain in Tennessee will lay off 611 workers by Oct. 11, 2025, due to Cummins transitioning part of its distribution business to Indianapolis. The layoffs will impact two FedEx distribution centers in Memphis, where they worked with Cummins since 2019. This is FedEx’s second layoff this year, unrelated to their “Network 2.0” plan. However, FedEx plans to retain some Cummins business in Memphis, offering affected employees job placement assistance, relocation aid, or severance. The company is committed to supporting affected employees during this transition. Subscribe to our newsletter for more engineering industry news.
