Novo Nordisk, the creator of Ozempic and Wegovy, is partnering with GoodRx to offer branded weight loss drugs for $499 per month, making it a competitive option for patients paying out of pocket. This price is slightly higher than some telehealth pharmacies but lower than a single-dose vial of a competing drug. Those with insurance may have the cost covered. Novo’s previous partnership with Hims & Hers ended due to alleged deceptive practices, resulting in a lawsuit and leadership changes. Novo aims to expand direct-to-consumer offerings and reduce prices to compete in the market.
