Potbelly Corporation (Nasdaq: PBPB) reported a 3.4% increase in total revenue to $123.7 million, up from $119.7 million the previous year. Adjusted net income was $2.9 million, compared to $2.5 million, with adjusted diluted EPS of $0.09, surpassing expectations and boosting shares. Company-operated same-store sales rose 3.2%, with adjusted EBITDA growing to $9.6 million.

The company upgraded its full-year guidance, now expecting same-store sales growth of 2.0% to 3.0% and adjusted EBITDA of $34M to $35M. Potbelly’s President and CEO, Bob Wright, attributed the positive results to continued top-line momentum, positive traffic, and new unit growth, showcasing the growth engine built over the past five years.
