Indian shares traded higher for a sixth consecutive session, with the BSE Sensex up 260 points and NSE Nifty up 74 points. ICICI Bank, Trent, Reliance Industries, Larsen & Toubro, BEL, and Bajaj FinServ all rose over 1 percent. India Cements jumped 3.2 percent as UltraTech Cement sells shares. Clean Science and Technology shares rallied 2 percent amid stake sale reports. Bharti Hexacom gained 1 percent after shareholder approval for tower sale. RailTel Corporation climbed 2.2 percent on a Rs. 35 crore work order. Godrej Properties advanced 2.4 percent with an equity stake acquisition agreement.
