Six Flags Entertainment Corporation (NYSE:FUN) shares are trading lower in the premarket session on Wednesday. The company reported second-quarter sales of $930.39 million, missing the analyst consensus estimate of $1.05 billion. Unfavorable weather, including rain and storms, affected results. 379 out of 2,042 total operating days were weather-impacted, with attendance down 9%.

CEO Richard Zimmerman expressed disappointment in the results, citing a slow start to the 2025 season. Adjusted earnings per share were 26 cents, down from 40 cents a year ago. Adjusted EBITDA was $243 million for the quarter. Deferred revenues were $461 million, up from $289 million. Cash and equivalents were $107.38 million.

Six Flags has lowered its 2025 EBITDA projection to $860 million to $910 million due to weaker season pass sales and economic uncertainty. The company expects challenges in demand due to a smaller season pass base, but remains focused on growing EBITDA, reducing leverage, and completing integration efforts.
